The Midwives of
Women’s Health Associates
A Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is a registered nurse who has completed a post-graduate program in nurse-midwifery and is nationally certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
At Women’s Health Associates, nurse-midwives work with obstetricians, providing personalized care for mothers and their infants during normal pregnancy, labor and childbirth. Pregnancy and childbirth are a special and dynamic period of time, full of surprises, changes and adjustments. Our focus, through education, is to emphasize a positive approach to childbearing.
During visits we counsel in nutrition, exercise, physiological and emotional changes, sexuality, and breastfeeding. We assist in developing a personalized birth plan with respect for personal needs and choices. We are with you through the active phase of labor and delivery and advocate for your choices during the process. We support you during your postpartum course. We also provide a wide spectrum of services for non-pregnant women, including well-women gynecology and family planning.
Have questions? Meet the Midwives at an Informational Night held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6PM at the Women's Health Associates office.
